SMS Knowledge Café is a place where people can meet seniors to have fun and productive conversations to learn from each other and to make a better sense of living in an urban community. The objective of the SMS Knowledge Café is to encourage peer-led discussion among seniors and learning in small groups for seniors.
The SMS community meets once a week, every Thursday afternoon, at a venue hosted by our partners. Our partners include the National Library Board, the National Museum of Singapore, A Good Space, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and the LearnSG Seed Fund.
To date, we have conducted 97 sessions since October 2017. We have on average 30 participants each session. Each session, there would be one volunteer from the group to share a topic for learning and discussions. The sessions are conducted orderly with our Code of Etiquettes. That being said, we also have fun, quizzes and games, potlucks and festive celebrations with a learning theme.

What a great initiative, Carol. It is clearly meeting people's needs.
